"Kakuuchi or Kadouchi" is a Japanese style where you can drink alcohol right inside a liquor shop.
You can buy your drink here and enjoy it on the spot – often standing, just like the locals do.
It's a casual, friendly way to enjoy a quick drink and experience everyday Japanese drinking culture.
Snacks are allowed as long as they are not strong-smelling.
Please note that squid and gyoza are currently not allowed.

The Story of Kitazawa Konishi
Kitazawa Konishi traces its roots back to Konishi Liquor Store, a historic “Kudari-zaka-ya” that transported sake from Kansai to Edo. It was founded in Shimokitazawa in 1931 after an apprenticeship begun in 1916.
Over time, the shop evolved into a convenience store and later a wine shop.
Since 2013, under the third-generation owner, Kitazawa Konishi has been a specialty shop for craft beer and hard cider, sharing a rich drinking culture from Japan and the United States.
